Founded in 1940, Delta Community Credit Union is one of the top five largest credit unions in the United States with more than 360,000 members, $5 billion in assets and 27 branch locations. The organization serves Delta Air Lines and 150 other businesses.
The challenge
Delta Community Credit Union relied on a wide array of spreadsheets and spreadsheet “wizards” to bring consolidated reporting across the organization to Delta’s business leaders. Despite investments to develop an enterprise data warehouse and reporting solution using Teradata and MicroStrategy, project delivery wasn’t progressing as quickly as needed.
The solution
WhereScape® automation for Teradata enabled Delta Community’s small IT team of three to accelerate the delivery of a Teradata data warehouse and utilize metadata to integrate its MicroStrategy reporting environment.
