The core component of WhereScape RED is the integrated WhereScape RED Meta Repository™. When developing in WhereScape RED meta data is created implicitly. This meta data is then used to generate database objects (tables, indexes, cubes, procedural code and scripts etc), no different from what you would have built by hand, and able to be modified if required. Because WhereScape RED is tightly integrated with the data warehouse database we can generate native database objects and set or cursor based code. Our integrated scheduler can also run all the jobs that have been created. And best of all our self documentation feature, enabled by the WhereScape RED Meta Repository™, saves time by always ensuring that technical and user documentation is up to date.
WhereScape RED is data warehouse software not just ETL software. We can build and run the data movement needed for data warehousing, or we can be used after a traditional ETL tool to build and run the data warehouse.
